Ex Machina was produced by Andrew Mcdonald and Allen Reich.

 

The Director

Ex Machina was directed by Alex Garland. Ex Machina was his directorial debut. Alex Garland also wrote 28 days later and the sequel 28 weeks later as well as Dredd.

 

Screen writer

The film was both directed and written by Alex Garland. Alex Garland is an experienced screen writer as he has written for Danny Boyle.

    Music (composer)
     
    The musical score for Ex Machina was composed by Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow, who previously worked with Garland on Dredd (2012). A soundtrack album was released digitally on 20 January 2015, with an LP and Compact Disc UK release in February 2015 by Invada Records.
     
     
     
    Marketing
     
    Marketing of the film included Trailers, Teaser Trailers, posters, social media such as Facebook profiles, Instagram and Twitter accounts. TV Spots also help to advertise the film on television.
     
     
     
    SFX (Special Effects)
     
    The work on Ex Machina was divided amongst four facilities. Double Negative created the android, Ava. Milk VFX created Ava’s brain, “Ava vision” and did a number of monitor inserts and clean-up effects. Utopia created a CG mobile phone for Caleb and added extra CG buildings to the Norwegian location plates. Web FX provided a number of clean-up and monitor composites.
