A soundtrack album was released digitally on 20 January 2015, with an LP and Compact Disc UK release in February 2015 by Invada Records.MarketingMarketing of the film included Trailers, Teaser Trailers, posters, social media such as Facebook profiles, Instagram and Twitter accounts. TV Spots also help to advertise the film on television.SFX (Special Effects)The work on Ex Machina was divided amongst four facilities. Double Negative created the android, Ava. Milk VFX created Ava’s brain, “Ava vision” and did a number of monitor inserts and clean-up effects. Utopia created a CG mobile phone for Caleb and added extra CG buildings to the Norwegian location plates. Web FX provided a number of clean-up and monitor composites.
